Job Description

The Department of Psychology at the University of Houston seeks to hire a tenure track faculty member at the Assistant or Associate level whose primary research interests are in clinical neuropsychology.

UH is a Carnegie-Designated Tier One Public Research University. The Clinical Psychology Program has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1959 and offers a well-established Major Area of Study in clinical neuropsychology as part of the clinical psychology program. Applicants should be formally trained as a clinical neuropsychologist, as evidenced by ABPP-CN certification or eligibility (or other form of demonstrable equivalence). The specific area of research within clinical neuropsychology (topic, population, age range) is open, but successful applicants will demonstrate evidence of research productivity and potential for success in securing external funding. Candidates who can interface with the other clinical program faculty (e.g., child clinical psychology, adult behavioral disorders) and with the department’s graduate programs in Social/Health Psychology, Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience, and/or Industrial/Organizational Psychology are especially encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. in area.
